For the second release in our ongoing partnership with Parrott Canvas in North Carolina, we chose to construct the bags with heavy, 10 oz waxed canvas and leather accents from the S.B. Foot Tanning Company in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Waxed canvas, also commonly referred to as "Tin Cloth," is one of the oldest textiles used in the outdoor and marine trade world. Often utilized for a variety of bags, tents and outerwear, waxed canvas is extremely useful in repelling moisture and only improves in function, over time.
Intended for daily use. The bag has one large compartment with dual zippers and a secondary, smaller compartment for your assorted loose objects. The Parrott Canvas Backpack features taped and double stitched interior seam construction, felted wool straps and a concealed trigger clasp for your keys.

The Monitaly Hooded Field Jacket was one of my favorite pieces to be released by any brand this season. I was lucky enough to see it back in August at the Meg Co booth and I knew I had to have it immediately. After inspecting it first hand and going over the various details of interest with Ryan and Minou, I had to pull the trigger and submitted an order for the jacket at once. Seeing the passion they have for their work made quite an impression and I've since added numerous Meg Co. products to the roster at Woodlands nearly every chance I get.
From that point on, I played the waiting game for nearly six months, patiently awaiting the arrival of my cherished jawnz. When it finally showed up at my door-step in early March, a big smile stretched across my face. I was giddy like an 8 year old on Christmas morning, frantically ripping open the box to see the piece that had been on my mind for months.
And just as I had remember, the jacket was a real gem. Impeccably designed and cut to perfection with all the right details: two-way zips with leather zipper pulls, suede and leather draw-cords and one hell of a camouflage pattern.
Another unique piece for my closet and a definite banger from Monitaly and Meg Co. where "Every Stitch Has a Soul"

If I'm not wearing blue and olive, I'm wearing something crazy like leggings, shorts and a jacket. At least until the weather starts to lean towards the side of temperate consistency.
